How to Search Amazon Add-Ons

How do you shop for (or search) just add on items? Lots of people ask this question because Amazon doesn’t make it easy. Why would they? These items have the lowest profit margins for Amazon because they don’t have the shipping costs padded into them.

If you click the link above, you will be directed straight to Amazon and you can browse Prime add-on items. These search results are not ideal and non-Add-On items are still peppered in, but it’s the best Amazon can provide.

For more accurate results and to clearly see only Add-On Items, take a look at our lists. We compiled them manually, sorting through multiple streams of Amazon data and hundreds of pages of search results to bring you the lowest price, free shipping items on Amazon.

If you look around our site, you’ll find the cheapest add items list where prices start at 60-cents and all items are under $2 (remember, that’s with free shipping too!).   You can also browse the best add on items sorted by category.

Even if you don’t plan to buy them now, you should take full advantage and add them to your Amazon shopping cart.  Smart shoppers load their carts with a bunch of Add-On items (that doesn’t mean they are buying them now).  The next time they checkout, they can delete these add-on items from the cart, these items are then saved for later and can used anytime you need to fill up your cart for free shipping.

Understanding the Add On Program..
Are you baffled with how Amazon’s add on program works? Well, Amazon’s add-on service has left quite a few people slightly confused when they get to the check out. You’ve bought a $10 remote control and added-on a $3 pack of batteries… Why won’t it let you get the batteries?

Amazon Add-ons are a great way to add items to your order at a discount, as long as the total order comes out to $25 or more. These items are small products, typically $5 or less, that you add to your order to make sure you get everything you need for a given product; for example, the batteries for a remote control. Amazon Prime gives you the full benefits of this service, but you can also get add-ons (albeit with fewer benefits!) as a non-Prime member.

There are a few conditions that your order has to meet to get the add-on benefits. First, all your items need to be shipped by Amazon. On Prime, this is no problem. If the item has Prime benefits, it is shipped by Amazon. All add-ons are automatically Amazon-shipped. Also, your total order needs to add up to $25 or more to get the item. Add-ons are a great way to save money; beef jerky at your local gas station probably costs about $6, but as an Amazon add-on it goes for closer to $3.50!

Amazon Add-On Items For Prime Members

If you shop on Amazon but don’t use the add-on items, you are leaving a lot of money on the table. If you are an Amazon Prime member, you get free two day shipping on qualifying items that you add on, IN ADDITION to your total order. Add-on items are marked with a special badge and usually suggested as an addition to an order that you’ve started making already. Add-on items cannot be purchased unless the order total is $25 or more; however, the free shipping benefit more than takes care of that price increase!

If you are already a Prime member, you already get free shipping on any item that qualifies (which is a LOT of stuff!) Add-on items cannot be purchased by themselves, but they are discounted from what they would normally cost, and can be added onto an order to make the $25 minimum. Here’s an example! If you bought an Xbox controller that cost $22 that had Prime shipping, then you saw an add-on for an 8-pack of batteries that cost $4, you’d have enough! You couldn’t get that price on batteries if you order them by themselves, but since they were an add-on item you’d get the batteries shipped with 2-day free shipping!

Amazon Add-Ons For Non-Prime Members

If you are not a member of Amazon Prime, you can still get a lot of the benefits of Amazon Add-Ons! In order to do this, you need to follow the same steps that Prime Members would follow: create an order that contains around $25 worth of items (at least!) and add on the items with the dedicated Amazon “add-on” badge. You won’t be able to get the 2-day free shipping, but you WILL be able to get free standard shipping! It won’t come quite as fast, but at least you don’t have to pay for the shipping costs!

Although you can still get a lot of the benefits of Add-ons even if you aren’t a prime member, you get a lot more if you go ahead and spend the money for a Prime Membership. Costs work out to about $8.99 per month… About the same cost as a Netflix subscription! For that you get free 2-day shipping on tons of items, plus an entire video streaming service on top of that! If you’re on the fence about an Amazon prime subscription, go ahead and get it. Shipping on Amazon tends to run about $4 per item… If you ship 2 items a month you’ve already paid the cost of a Prime membership, and you don’t even get 2 day shipping. It is 100% worth it!

Amazon Prime – The Benefits of Online Video Streaming

How good is Amazon Instant video Subscription? By most accounts, the yearly cost is more than worthwhile. First of all, they offer you an a la carte style of movie selection, where you can pick from a variety of genres in the onscreen interface. There’s a “Recently Watched” section, as well as Recommended Action & Adventure, Recommended Kids & Family, Your TV Shows and more sections tailored to popular user requests.

Amazon Instant vs. Amazon Prime Instant Video Streaming

Top movies that are just barely out of the movie theater can be viewed with an Amazon online video subscription for under a single dollar. You could also pay up to $15 to own it; but in most cases, this doesn’t seem reasonable unless you plan on watching said movie 15 times! Alternatively, you could also opt for the Amazon Prime Instant video option, which allows free streaming of videos without adding it to your Amazon account.

The unlimited streaming available with Prime also comes with access to the Kindle Unlimited library, where you can read a book for free every month, as well as free 2-day shipping on a host of items from Amazon’s incomparably large inventory. Amazon’s inventory of movies and TV shows is easily greater than 100,000 as of 2018 – and constantly growing due to its competition with HULU and Netflix.

Watch Movies Online with Amazon

The Amazon Prime interface varies depending on the device you use. On a Roku, for example, the layout isn’t all that easy to navigate; but on a PlayStation, it’s better. The Cloud Player is useful for video streamers who want to download a title for later viewing, and the search function is off to the left hand side and provides plenty of options that are close to your original search. The interface has improved quite a bit since 2014 – so if you’re getting your Amazon online streaming video subscription, be advised that it is now competitive with HULU and Netflix.

Get Amazon Prime for Free

The beauty of Amazon Instant Video and its entire online video streaming suite is that you can try it out for free for a month – in some cases, more. During this period, you can see how well the free 2-day shipping works for you, as well as how you like the watch movies online selection. Just head to the Amazon website and sign up for the Prime trial.

If, before the trial period comes to an end, you happen to buy many things, gauge how long it takes for your items to arrive to understand the type of service you can expect. If you don’t think what’s available justifies the price, then cancel your subscription trial at the end of the month so that you aren’t charged. The $99 cost (as of 2017) of Prime breaks down to about $8.25 per month – factor this into how often you watch movies, TV shows, and order items from the super-store to determine whether or not the subscription is worthwhile.

The Pantry Option with a Video Streaming Subscription

Lastly, along with your new spate of videos, movies, television programs and free 2-day shipping, you are invited to try Amazon Pantry. This helps keep your kitchen stocked with goodies that aren’t available to casual shoppers, all at competitive prices and with free shipping. Usually, you have to purchase $50 worth of goods in order to activate free shipping; furthermore, it might take a business week for your stuff to arrive.

With Prime Pantry, you’ll get your order within two days – guaranteed or your money back. There are chips available, assortments of cakes, candies, chocolate, detergent, coffee pads – anything you have now and desire in your kitchen, Amazon Prime Pantry almost certainly has it. So, check it out and subscribe for your free trial of Online Video Streaming with Amazon today.

Amazon Dash Button! Is It Really Worth the Dash?

You ever had a wonder what life would be like if you could receive anything you wanted with just the “push of a button”? Well today in this day and age Amazon Prime has made that come true for all of their Amazon Prime members. The dash button is a new innovative feature that allows prime members to purchase products that they may reuse on a continuous basis around the house that is made by the companies that Amazon is currently partnered with. These companies include Dixie, Hefty, Cotton-elle Gatorade and much more. The buttons are self-adhesive which permits you to stick them around the house in convenient locations. They connect to your home Wi-Fi and with the single click the product needed is order along with a confirmation email, which makes it easy to do any cancellations. Shopping at the super market can become a hassle and break the bank especially when needing to purchase items other than food but now food shopping can become just that, food shopping! This will also help with having to lug in heavy merchandise from the store, to the cart, to checkout, to your car, and lastly into your home. I know me personally if I have to purchase a case of water it will sit in my car for at least 3 days.

Sometimes I even may take a couple out of the package and place it in my purse to get around actually having to carry the entire case into my house. Oh how suitable it would be to have it just sitting outside my front when I come home Consumers can place these buttons any place around the house they see fit, and with the click of a button it is instantly ordered. The convenience of Amazon prime members receiving free two-day shipping gives it more of a benefit and convenience.

Now for many individuals including myself may think this is the new way of purchasing products, but is it really worth the hassle of having all of these buttons around your house? Each button is $4.99, “Yes! Finally I have something to buy that will help me with other things to buy, how refreshing”. However, on the upside, Amazon allows their members to purchase the button as a rebate and apply to their first purchases, so in this sense it takes away the thought of you actually spending $4.99 per button. Imagine how much fun a toddler would have with these buttons, talk about really breaking the bank. Luckily the button only responds to one click so your playful children can’t over-buy, and go button happy.

Let’s admit when certain household items run out, it always seems to be at the worst time. And yes we may notice that our rolls of toilet paper is dwindling down; however we rarely make a note in our phone to remind ourselves to purchase more on the way home, and that usually becomes a downfall in the next couple of days when you’re running 30 minutes behind for work and mother nature calls at the strike of dawn. Having the button in your home would save you the trouble of “trying to remind yourself”, the button is conveniently there to be pressed. Eventually there will come a time where even the button will become a thing of the past but as of right now it will save you interruptions of having to jet to the store, and time.
